That’s a win!

Our campaign celebrates and acknowledges the small wins that occur in the moment someone chooses not to gamble.

We focus on people who are not yet at a high risk of gambling harm, but may have started to notice gambling having an impact on their lives.

The high-five moment represents their internal feeling of success at being able to make the call not to gamble, while recognising that it is not always an easy thing to do.

The campaign aims to get our community to reflect on their gambling earlier on, before it starts having a bigger impact.

This website is owned and managed by the Department of Premier and Cabinet.

We develop campaigns and information based on recommendations from the Productivity Commission Gambling Inquiry Report (2010) to:

  • explain the truth behind common gambling myths
  • show how gambling can become harmful
  • encourage people to get help for gambling harm earlier on.
